One of my quirks is not to shop on major holidays. I get some stores are essential, gas stations, fast food and the like on holidays but I don't need to go to department stores, hardware or Dollar tree/general today. Every employee needs to have holidays off.

Here in PA we are working hard to retain our Judges. There will be a huge push not to retain our current judges by the Rs. Our judges are our last line of defense to keep our rights. There is no such thing as an off year election.

Had a lot of vaccinations in my life. No measles, mumps or chicken pox because I'm old & got them as a child. Love them. We call them zucchini in the US. I have a spiralizer that I use to make zucchini noodles. Use them instead of pasta noodles because they are lower in carbs.

I saw you had a snow shovel on your list. You really need a snow blower or get a snow removal person. There are smaller snow throwers that work up to about 3 inches. I'm old so I moved to an over 55 community that does snow removal ๐ฅณ. I'm too old to shovel anymore. My last house I had a snow blower
My regular job was in cybersecurity but I volunteered as a medic for a few decades. We always went to fire calls so I've seen a lot of kitchen fires.
You should also get a fire blanket. If you have a kitchen fire, you place the "blanket" over the fire. Much safer than fire extinguisher.

I've stated before all the law enforcement agencies in DC. Also every government building has their own security force. You don't need anyone to guard government buildings, the agencies have it covered.
And this is why when Costco had Dunkin coffee on sale I stocked up last year. I'm good for the next year. Glad I did. And Costco canned chicken is way better than the other place.
I'm taking a Road Scholar trip in early October to Portland Maine and ending up in Bar Harbor. I'll have to look for the donut shop.

I worked in DC and it is very common to see members of the military in uniform BUT they are unarmed. If armed you don't see it. The last thing DC wants to project is military on the streets. DC is a tourist town and having armed military on the streets is NOT the look they want.
I worked in DC, retired in 21. Took Metro rail (Red Line) to work every day. Then either walked or took bus (80 or S1) to office. Never had a problem or felt unsafe. And I'm a petite woman.

I worked in DC, retired in 21. Crime is very low. In downtown DC there are so many law enforcement agencies you can't go 10 feet without seeing 1. And cameras everywhere. This is all because DC hates him.

The handyman in my plan car died. I pulled out my Halo to jump it and I could see the eye roll. Jumped his car, no problem. He was shocked it worked. It's the size of a VHS tape. His wife ordered one right there. I've used the AC outlet to run a fan when the power goes out. Or โ๏ธ maker.
Instead of jumper cables I have a power pack that jumps vehicles. Mine is a Halo brand but there are many on the market. Don't need a 2nd car to jump your car. Also has various flashlight options, USB ports and AC outlet.

Here in the Pittsburgh area we had a very weird spring. Normally don't plant till Memorial Day but it was still cold at night so delayed that. So much rain in June that 2 tomatoe plants & 2 pepper plants got root rot & died. July was extremely hot & growing seemed to stop. Lettuce isn't doing well.
