Executive branch immigration courts are clearly insufficient, especially given the detentions that occur as people emerge from their required immigration-court appointments. At what point do these make up cruel / unusual punishments?
These abysmal conditions, these human right abuses - they are almost extrajudicial punishments, except for the fact that there is no due process for these detentions. If the executive branch cannot / will not uphold Constitutional protections, the judiciary MUST get involved.
