If we could get the $2 million a day it would cost to put the guard into Chicago to expand these programs and build affordable housing, those numbers will go down even faster. Don't just oppose the deployment, point out what a waste of money it is. Money that could be spent on things that work.

According to BLS (before Jan 6er took it over): most dangerous jobs: Loggers, roofers, garbage men, pilots, Amazon driver, landscaper, farm worker. Police officer is nowhere to be found. Policing PROPERLY is a hard job but the overreaction to protecting police leads to their escalation.
Garbage men are twice as likely to die on the job as the police. It is a tough job but if you can't handle getting a sub thrown at you, you're in the wrong profession. We need police that can deescalate and stop charging people with assaulting them when they escalate.
