In practice, the AUMF has been very broadly interpreted to include any groups that are terrorists, or terrorist adjacent, so Yemen, Iran, Syria, pick your poison. This has been going on for over 20 years.

TBH, homeless people donāt tend to vote, and with all the frustration at finding effective solutions to the homeless crisis, Iām betting that the constituency that is glad to see homeless camps cleaned up is much larger than the one that thinks Newsom was wrong to do it.
