It seemed like many Mainers gave her the benefit of the doubt and benefit of her service when they voted for her over Gideon. If Graham can reach everyone, that benefit may not be in play this time.

There is video. He plainly steals — swipes — the hat and studiously ignores the child asking and gesturing for it. The guy is a disgusting lout, who should simmer in the hot oil of his actions. Please, fuck you.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Thanks Anna and Lawfare. Really appreciate this work. Any sign that Ensign is wilting under the heat of his employer’s disgraceful efforts to kidnap and remove people of color?
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
CIVICS EDUCATION!!!! Sorry to shout.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
The press is on to diminish the vote, suppress the votes of people of color, and encourage people to stay home. The GOP wants to choose who votes. Support voting rights organizations before it is too late. 2/2
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
The Voting Rights Act gutted by the Court. Nuclear Gerrymander in red states. ICE and DHS at polling places in blue states and cities. Court challenges to mail-in votes across selected -- blue -- areas. 1/2

Go to Greenfield, NH in October, for pumpkins thrown by a trebuchet.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
We are terrorizing people of color. We are kidnapping legal residents and, sometimes, citizens. We are not carefully identifying "criminals" or "gang members." Our government is engaged in nationwide and serious racial profiling. The shame may never wear off.

Maybe he is actually a beagle. No, I love beagles.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Jesus. I rest my case: the beard makes this guy somewhat presentable. In this video, he is the kid who got picked on in middle and high school.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
I think we knew her all too well. Adios!!
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Umm, his beard really hides his jowly face and weak chin? Did I do it right?

Yeah, for me — and I’m lucky; married, nice kids, retired — being outdoors with the dog is the silver bullet to keeping my brain steady. Love the photos, mate.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Interesting; I can see this Court majority telling the lower courts, "oh, gosh, we cannot look at the motive of the unitary, powerful, single Executive." His motives are only for the electorate to evaluate, only after he destroys the federal reserve system and a lot of other important institutions.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
This is when you know you’ve hired a skilled lawyer: when he or she and the Court are having a seeming conversation about the authorization, the policy underlying it, and the words then used to define the standard.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Columbia and Paul Weiss, pillars of power and prestige in their respective lanes, showed the way, neutered themselves, and emboldened a tyrant. The definition of anticipatory compliance. Ignominy.

Thanks DOCTOR Bill Cassidy. Really well done.

Doubtful that TAA plays. Dani is going to lead Madrid just like he has every healthy year. Should have stayed with the scousers.

Just list the infamous shootings by venue: elementary schools, high schools, colleges, private Catholic schools; synagogue; Walmart; grocery stores; places of employment; concerts and festivals. Nowhere is safe. Very happy your family is OK. But the reality is that none of us is OK.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
The answer is yes: he is dumb, senile and a pathological liar. The trifecta as President. And lotsa help from John Roberts.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
It's not a cabinet meeting; it's a gross pander en masse. And Dear Leader loves it.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Anyone notice that Bessent -- who with Gabbard I thought won the sycophant award yesterday -- was reading from and referring to pre-prepared notes? They know that overt, obsequious toadying is an absolute requirement, and each of them fulfills the mission.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Nichols is right. We forge a coalition or the Republican is gone in November 2026. We need not all agree.

Adrian Vermeule, there’s your cue. Adrian?
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
This is a near total lack of self-possession, a quiet, effortless “oh fuck off” to anyone thinking otherwise. Dogs do not understand that they are dogs. It’s beautiful.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Whenever you listen to this, consider that the Senate could have literally insisted on basic competency, and some measure of truth to power. That was its constitutional duty. Today’s GOP is whatever this Moron wants, in the moment.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Do they distribute knee pads for appropriate supplication before these meetings? And nothing important appears to be discussed; it is instead a televised roundtable of panegyric for a vulgarian.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent

Absolutely heart-stopping to have watched this in real time. The beauty was Dom letting the ball from Mo go through to Rio, who punched it home. Just freakin' glorious, and crushing for a valiant group of Magpies.

I think it requires, you know, a majority of the House. So, I see a problem. It's 2026 or bust.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Aubrey, I totally get why you’d think that. And maybe you’ll be proved right. But the setup is dire: Xinis has laid a clear and unambiguous ruling; Ensign has acknowledged it and its force. He is screwed if Kilmer is moved.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
Her question is intended to place Ensign at risk of contempt and losing his license to practice. They almost certainly will not move him. Fingers, of course, crossed with these MoFos.

Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent
They are just terrorizing this guy and his family. The cruelty is a feature. The question is about us as a nation: are we better than this…or not?

It is exactly that: a meeting of old friends at the brownstone, Saul’s apartment, Lily’s penthouse, Lon’s office, and a room with Cramer or the DA. I have paperbacks from the 1970s in a state of dilapidation with which I cannot part.

This is about the midterms. The economy is going to leave millions of their supporters behind, so the gerrymandering, vote suppression, and fear will be needed at election sites in so-called blue states and cities. Bank on it.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent

You know what? No one thinks the plaintiff will get a fair hearing. We all are now conditioned to expect sophistry from a Court many of us once revered, to a “unitary,” immunized and wildly emboldened Executive monster. So, I’m staying tuned, and expecting the Roberts Court’s further debasement.
Christopher Cole (@ccole2025.bsky.social) reply parent

Just outstanding. Americans need to know that Trump is unraveling the country with declarations of emergency — his serialism Reichstag moments. Americans need to know that the feckless toadies of the GOP majorities in Congress are the willing co-conspirators in giving Trump “de jure” cover. 1/2
