I think in light of recent events that we can say “the criminal court” has a whole new meaning.
Trump will commit to anything that takes no effort on his part and costs him no money. Those conditions will allow him to forget any commitment that he made. Don’t remind him either. He’ll deny that he made it and legitimately. He’s dementing after all.
I see now that it is far more important that I simply tell you that we rely on your reporting for its honesty, integrity, and courage. If there’s anything we can do as retired, average citizens to show our support, please let us know. We are with you.

@stephruhle.bsky.social I write to you because I am a fan. What I find missing in all reporting is that Trump is terrified, especially of Putin. Occasionally a guest or an anchor says, “I am not a psychiatrist…” Well, I am a psychologist. I will say this, there is blood in the water.
Trump loves to fight as long as other people are doing it. Could you imagine him sitting with his staff and generals in the war room while they were taking out Bin Laden? Impossible!
If he only suffered from dementia a successful treatment might result in a whole, healthy human being. But, no, he has a whole host of personality disorders and is otherwise a troglodyte. Not to mention his physical problems. Harvard can’t fix everything.
Because Trump is working on building a counter narrative.

I used to think that Trump is unable to learn from his personal experience. I now think he cannot learn even from the lessons given us in childhood. Either he never learned the Aesop fable of the goose that laid the golden eggs or he was incapable of understanding it. So, we all have to relive it.
