In light of the news that RFK Jr plans to pull the Covid vaccines from the market… this is a very smart move for Canada. We can’t rely on the US anymore. We must have public health contingencies to ensure as many citizens are protected. I expect we’ll see Americans traveling for the vaccine too!

My point is: with “Latinos” who have a heritage of US citizenry, there is a righteous indignation + legal entitlement to rights-in being abducted off the streets-without cause. This is far different than abducting a “Latino” who has reasonable insecurities due to being undocumented migrant worker.

Latinos comprises a wide swath of nationalities - especially in NY. Many of those considered “Latinos” in New York are US citizens (Puerto Ricans) for several generations. In the West a majority of “Latinos” are from Mexico, which invokes a very long and complex history of colonial territorialism.
