I do alphabetical by composer first, then title and then conductor. I'm a bit OCD about titles. Eg Many would file Un Ballo in Maschera under 'B' but I file it under 'U'.

I doubt it. During Covid, I once agreed with an American opera fan when he said masks should be worn in opera houses and the abuse I got was awful. I ignored all the responses and locked my account but it put me off commenting. It certainly didn't change my mind.
For a good part of my life 'wipes' didn't exist. A need was created and people fell for it. Waste of money and bad for the environment and I never use them.

Thanks to your info, I set my alarm for 04:00 and saw it! I live in a flat in town and it's rare that there's anything of note which I can see from my limited viewpoint. Didn't take a photo but just saw and looked in awe. 😃

My first thought on seeing the word 'gibbous' is moon phase. My second thought is why is gibbous pronounced with a hard 'g' but gibbet with a soft 'g'? Same pronunciation rules should apply.

I saw the Church Parables at Southwark in 2013 and I understood the venue was chosen because that's where the first performance of all three in London had taken place but maybe I've got that wrong.
Does Britten have a special connection to Southwark Cathedral? I do know that Southwark was where The Church Parables were first performed in England.
In fact I have two bucket list items this Autumn: am also singing Britten's War Requiem in Southwark Cathedral in November.

I used to live on the outskirts of my town and often went out at night to look at the sky but now I live in a flat in the middle of the town and there are buildings all around me. Sightings of a beautiful moon are rare for me now so even more reason to enjoy your photos. Keep 'em coming! 🤩

Not booked for the Southbank for a while but I did fly BA LHR - LYS recently. Tried to check in using the app, tried to book a seat (free at time of check in) and app kept crashing so I gave up. In T5 I was allocated seat by emergency exit which I declined as not fit/strong enough. Much faffing. 😬
