Hmm. Einstein was a humanitarian who was for social justice, freedom, peace and against all injustice, racism. He didn't believe in the Abrahamic god (who punished his creatures) nor in the afterlife, BUT he considered himself "a deeply religious man", passionate about being a Jew and Jewish ideals

Indeed. Sad irony is that when Starmer set out his pre-election 'vision' he spoke of "a crisis in nothing less than who we are as a nation" etc. It was well meant, but the crisis has become Labour meekly allowing this racist (and unpatriotic) shit to flourish. Is that his idea of our nation?

Indeed. Explanatory Note to the Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill clearly states that its provisions "are compatible with the Convention rights" ie ECHR in which case there is no way "small boat migrants" will be summarily sent back
Christopher Kelly (@hfmatters.bsky.social) reply parent
In addition, govt's Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill 2025, currently in progress through Parliament, will repeal parts of the Illegal Migration Act 2023, so that asylum seekers (irregular arrivals on beaches) will be properly treated as before

Possibly derived from porcupine. Smythe Palmer’s wonderful Folk Etymology says this PORCUPIG, a provincial Eng. name for the porcupine, Scot, pork-pik, is a corruption of the French porc-épic, old Fr. porc-espi, Lat. porcus spicatus, "the spiky pig"
