there are probably many things we could do to try for the best form of democratic competition in this information age. I think 2 parties forever at war with each other will split any country in 2 antagonistic factions. but how would we do 2 parties intentionally, since that will be possible?
I get that, but its ex-congressmen working in lobbying or taking kush "administration" roles with organizations they helped with legislation while in the government that is just too big of a corrupting danger. maybe some jobs are ok (teaching?), but for the people to be free the government can't?

What if instead of winner-take-all legislative elections, we elected both a dem and a rep, and the general was about power in DC, with each rep being worth all the votes they get. It would be way closer to full representation, and at least 1 branch wouldn't be 100% antagonistic..
