It is, and parts of Paulina Lake are warm along the beaches where hot springs bubble out.

With posts like this, it is no wonder the U.S. 'happiness' level is in 24th place this year, a record low (compared to, say, 11th in 2011).

The population of Washington DC is less than a million.
While some of this is certainly due to a change of heart by some voters, I'm guessing it is because low propensity voters, who are an important part of Trump's voting base, are low propensity voters, which is to say they don't vote very often in special elections or mid-term elections.
