I think it’s a bit more complicated than that. I think they build community in the encampments and others have said on this thread that they aren’t able to take all of their belongings with them as well. There is no quick fix because we as a country don’t put enough resources into it.
I’m a Marylander so I don’t know Newsom’s history as well as others do. That’s why I asked. Is there a reliable source for these past actions? Where people were kicked out of encampments with no alternative or resources offered? Would definitely want to know about that if he runs for POTUS.

Reading the story, it sounds like what Newsom is planning to do is provide a safer alternative, with access to health and addiction services. And is focusing on encampments that are in unsafe areas on state properties. If that’s the case, your message seems misleading. What am I missing?
Respectfully disagree. And I used to feel as you do. But as a physician, I could deeply appreciate why those medical experts at the CDC simply could not stay and compromise what they know to be true, based on science, on a daily basis. It’s just not a reasonable ask.
