Universal healthcare does have wait times for elective healthcare, healthcare that is not absolutely necessary for a normal life. Its immediate healthcare for emergencies/serious illness and/or injuries. I had soft tissue surgery on my shoulder due to damage from dislocation, I waited about 3 weeks
