Trump has been running against Barack Obama since well before 2015. It started with birtherism and continues today. But he never faced him directly. I think he was afraid to, or he would have run in 2012. If Trump does say he’s going to run for a third term, Obama should announce he is too.

Surprised by this video because this was originally advertised as being in the Merrill auditorium which seats about 2000 and they clearly moved it to the Civic Center that’s a hockey and concert Arena.

That would be great, because since Trump is ending all wars, we just won’t need that department anymore.

Yeah, but when the people rejecting vaccines and following junk science include the ones that decide whether vaccines are available to the rest of us and what medical care we can have, it's a problem.

As Trump attacks unions and occupies our city, we’re called to remember how we got here. Labor Day would not exist without the workers who fought and died at the Haymarket Massacre and the Pullman Strike in Chicago. It’s not a coincidence he’s targeting Chicago:

My take: He was not flagged down. State police were already on the scene. Rudy told his guy to stop. Following car was too close and hit them. Rudy learned later why the police were there and claimed to be Good Samaritan.

Surely, Giuliani learned what had been going on across the highway after the fact. He saw police activity, told his body man to slam on the brakes so he could investigate. The person behind them was too close and slammed into them.

As a friend recently put it: the venn diagram of people who assured us the gun violence was worth it because we need the guns to protect ourselves against a tyrannical federal government and the people cheering on Trump as he deploys the military to take over American cities is a circle
Eric Riback (@kreplachbro.bsky.social) reply parent
Completely different than what the state police report. They say they were already on the scene of the other incident. I think what happened is Rudy told the driver to brake hard.

So what I’ve heard this morning on the show is that Trump adopted Putin‘s position of peace talks with no cease-fire, Trump’s aides were ashen faced, and they cut the summit short. Seems to me a good explanation would be that Putin credibly threatened to use nukes.
Eric Riback (@kreplachbro.bsky.social)
I believe Trump‘s adoption of the Putin stance, the shortened summit, and the ashen faces of Trump’s staff, means that Putin credibly threatened to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
