There's several layers to it. What is happening in this arc: power struggle on boat Why does it matter: unclear How does that ability work: um What implications does it have for the wider series: idk Why is Hisoka here: I think Togashi likes Hisoka. Why write this: Togashi needs rent money?
The thing is, the point of things being flagged for kids isn't to protect children, it's for plausible deniability. Children are the people primarily watching and being influenced by Youtube ads. But it's in neither Youtube nor their advertisers interests to acknowledge this.

I think the change for me was just recognizing that aiming for unbiased reporting at all is not simply an impossible ideal, but is ultimately just irresponsible on its own merits.
It's pretty clear that Trump is not anomolous - he's the logical end result of decades of Republican politics. I think what jumps out to me is just how broken American media has turned out to be. "Unbiased reporting" is less than empty platitude. Media w/out an agenda turns out to be a lie.
Don Krieg is probably the weakest arc villain in the series, but his fight with Luffy marks a real step-up in the series's action.
