Lost three of my clients to covid. One was a mom with small children. Will remember that horrible time until I die. So much confusion and fear. When the vaccine finally came out, we busted ass to get all of our clients transported to the sites and vaxxed. I had only one client refuse the shot.
I do. Still working at the time and had a full caseload of clients scared shitless and (sadly) thought that we caseworkers knew what to do to make things better. Hell, at that time, we couldn't even get hand sanitizer/gloves, and were only given ONE blue mask to be used/saved for a week at a time.
