yeah avocado oil has become the sort of high heat olive oil, in that it has a slightly better antioxidant content and fat distribution than seed oils like olive oil does but can be cooked hotter like seed oils can. but unless youāre consuming a ton of it itās not a big deal lol

i actually got the mackerel specifically because i used cheap mackerel in this and regretted it lol, so i might recreate it slightly altered
sardines are easy, particularly the un-spiced ones, this was a keeper. lightly charred toasts rubbed with garlic, topped with a thin layer of butter, heirloom tomato, sardines, basil, red onion (i quick-pickled them here but decided fresh with a drizzle of acid is better), then olive oil and salt
i remember thinking i'd do some kind of harissa tomato puree situation with the mussels. which would also go well on a potato. i am using so much potato lately!!!
i've never had tinned gar so i have no idea what to do with that. the tuna is just to have because that is a famous brand i've somehow never tried, i will be able to figure that one out lol. and i also have squid, smoked mussels, and three different kinds of sardines in the pantry
