Trump is in poor health and has worsening dementia, but rumors of his impending death should not be taken as fact until more evidence is available. He almost died from COVID, but recovered. In any event, MAGA will not go away, because Fox News and billionaire dark money will keep them fired up.
They are doing more than covering up. They are working behind the scenes to plan the takeover when Trump’s health and cognitive abilities decline even further.
Trump has encouraged Putin’s actions in various ways including publicly stating that Putin could do whatever he wants to NATO, berating Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, stopping support for Ukraine, and refusing to admit that Putin is responsible for starting the war. I could go on.
RFK Jr’s behavior is beyond dereliction. If you accidentally kill someone you can be charged with manslaughter. His pathological behavior will kill many people.
RFK Jr probably enjoys being criticized by experts. His words and behavior have been criticized by knowledgeable professionals for years and now he is in charge and is getting back at his critics. Unfortunately many people will die because of him.
Those of us that voted against Trump and warned others about him didn’t do this. Here is who did. Mitch McConnell and the other Republicans who voted not to convict Trump. The Supreme Court. Aileen Cannon. Fox News. The 32% of eligible voters who voted for Trump. People who didn’t vote.
Not surprisingly, she didn’t admit to the crimes she committed that were proven in court. No one should believe anything she says.
RFK Jr promotes herd immunity, the idea that we should allow people to get communicable diseases to get immunity instead of using vaccines. The cartoon points out the absurdity of that idea.

The press hounded Biden because he didn’t punish them for aggressive coverage. The press is afraid to aggressively cover Trump.

I’m not sure how MAGA would react to a Cracker Barrel style logo change. They don’t seem to care that Trump and RFK Jr. are going to kill them and that Republicans are taking away their health insurance and forcing their hospitals to close, but a logo change might set them off.
The more influence Trump exerts over the Fed, the more likely we will have stagflation. That term doesn’t sound ominous, but it means inflation, including high interest rates, and lots of people out of work. The remedy is tight monetary policy which puts even more people out of work.

If Trump told his MAGA faithful to burn down every federal building, they would immediately show up with torches. Then Fox News would praise their efforts. Afterwards, MAGA would blame Democrats because they couldn’t get any government services.

Trump often polls poorly on specific issues, but his overall approval never drops much below 40%. In other words, his core MAGA supporters seem to stick with him even when they don’t like things he is doing. That’s important because he won in 2024 with the votes of 32% of eligible voters.
Unfortunately, his hubris may be our undoing as well.
I agree that there are many unanswered questions. I hope the victims are heard and the perpetrators are punished, but there are powerful people, including Trump, that don’t want the truth to come out.

Trump shouldn't be compared to previous American Presidents. We now need to to compare him to dictators. So far he is up to the Mussolini level, but if you think of the many people who will die because he took away foreign aid, health insurance, SNAP, vaccinations, research, etc. it could be higher.
He has already declared war on immigrants, people who are suspected of being immigrants, people who displease him, etc. And he is expanding ICE and building concentration camps.
He has people in his administration checking on how people in the Fed, and possibly other organizations mortgaged their houses to look for violations. If he will go that far, anyone who displeases him is in jeopardy.

The Supreme Court by a 5 to 4 decision in 1989 allowed flag burning when it doesn’t provoke violence. Because the current Court is in Trump’s pocket, it is possible that they will overturn that decision. Perhaps Trump is doing this now to test its legality prior to larger protests.

Not only has RFK, Jr. been spreading dangerous misinformation, he has been cutting HHS to the bone. Since the start of the Trump administration, nearly 20% of HHS employees have either been fired or have left voluntarily. These cuts combined with the severe funding cuts put us all at risk.
Both political parties are controlled by their wealthy donors. The Republican donors are ruthless and don’t care about what happens to most of us. The Democratic donors are more socially responsible, but still prevent Democrats from taking the courageous actions needed now.

Trump stole numerous classified documents including top secrets, stored them in unsecured rooms at Mar-a-lago, and refused to give them back. Who else saw these documents? Anyone else would have spent the rest of his life in prison. Aileen Cannon and the Supreme Court prevented that.
