#DragonCon I got this tiny TV styled media player at a table in DragonCon. I had to leave due to EVENTS and an at home now. It's supposed to be able to get files into it, but it doesn't show up when plugged into my laptop. Any ideas how to do that?

You have to take risks to win. But it's also short! The longer a game the more disappointed you'll be when you lose, and in Rogue, probably, you'll always lose. You're probably doomed, but it's fun. Even good players usually die. Have fun with your doomedness.
Rogue is a marvelously "sharp" game, by which I mean you have hard decisions to make. You can't just play it safe and never use items, you'll never make it if you don't experiment and learn what they do. Hunger prevents you from grinding for experience or searching every space for traps.
People are asking for traditional roguelike recommendations? I'm always last to know.... Rogue. Play Rogue! Rogue Clone IV's free and available for lots of things, on Linux you can literally compile Rogue itself for your machine, and the Atari ST version has actual graphics.
