I was with a cohort of at least 100 bikes when we hit that stretch on Sunday, and we just completely took over the lane. So lame that they didn’t close it to cars, though. By myself, I divert to the sidestreets that lead to PETCO Park through Barrio Logan rather than trying to take that lane solo

We also don't build bridges in the middle of the water without connecting them to land. In SD, we have some pretty good bike lanes, but they don't actually connect all the way (ex. downtown & the beach) leaving bikes to cross terrifying gaps. How many people are turned away from biking bc of this?

I don’t remember a “monsoon season” here 20 years ago. Until this week, the humidity was light, but, it’s gotten pretty gross.
70 degrees rn (12:23) in the South Bay with 88% humidity. And, we have a power outage. These are hardly, heat-wave conditions. But, Steve - what’s up with the humidity? I don’t remember anybody mentioning “monsoons” around here 20 years ago -
It got over 80 degrees F today, and, we have some humidity. So, of course, power outage. I pay high taxes, utilities, etc, to live here precisely to not live in Texas-like conditions -
