I guess what I’m saying is I agree with you: laws matter and justice is a worthy endeavor. But if you’re looking to existing institutions to provide justice, you need to keep looking.
Justice and Law are two separate concepts. Laws are tools. Wielded by the right people, they can serve justice. Wielded by the wrong people-like the ones currently in control of the government-they are used to scare, control, and harm people.
Only like 1/100 Americans think this way and it’s why our society is doomed.
