We already tax the top 5%. In NYC, the top 1% pays 47% of the tax revenue. And raising taxes is not a mayoral power. Which either Zohran doesn’t know or is counting on his supporters not knowing.
The top 1% also collects a lot more than 47% of the income. Their taxes are too low. A better fix would be a wage ratio, so they can't pay themselves that much shareholder money anyway. Win-win!

Such hatred is nothing but stupidity and arrogance. Throughout history, the elders have been revered as sources of wisdom for the young. How we lost that is insanity.
Yeah. Young people have always detested old people. I used to work for a woman who fired people older than 35. I found out she died recently aged 73. I’m a lot older. Despite her obscene wealth and access to better healthcare, I outlasted her. I bet she didn’t hate old people when she became one.
More precisely, I bet she didn’t hate herself when she became old.
Let the younger lead. They are the future. With some exceptions most over 65 should just bow out of all elections. It’s not simply agility of mind it’s vested interest in critical choices. 55 is a balanced goal for a leader based solely on age. 45 is possible but rare. Vested interest & experience.
The younger may be "the future", but that doesn't mean they are smart enough, experienced enough, educated enough, or wise enough to "lead". The mature should do the leading, the young should do the learning.
Let’s hope they’re smart enuf to know they don’t know more than they do. There’s no guarantee based on age alone. It works both ways. Never before in history have this many adults remained active into their 8th decade & just stayed in place. Voters need to be the disciplinarians averting harm.
Never forgive and never forget the Republicans utter betrayal of the Constitution and America for #TraitorTrump and #Project2025... VOTE THEM ALL OUT IN 2026 and 2028. I am just over 60 years old. I live in NYC & embraced him. I know other boomers who voted for him too. As one of them said "he's the only one who isn't bought"(nor is he corrupt). My2Cents: I believe the Republicans AND the Wall St. Democrats may ignore my vote.
