I get the point. Vote for any Democrat, no matter who because they’re better than a Republican. Accept whatever they do & keep voting for them. Hoping that over time they’ll improve the insufficient policies they put in place. Which is what Dem voters have been doing for decades. It’s not working.

We've got more for you on Labor Day. More than 82 percent of civilian federal workers have had their right to collectively bargain stripped in the largest act of union busting in US history. Unions are a voice from below, and their autonomy poses a threat to autocrats, Harold Meyerson writes:

If voters are going to be governed by corruption they prefer it to be by those who are open and honest about it and not by a party that claims it’s different and then always finds excuses not to be better.

I’m sure the National Guard is going to be deployed to schools across America at any time to combat crime and mayhem. Any day now

If Republicans are required to fix this America’s prospects are pretty dim. In fact if Democrats are required to fix this America’s prospects are pretty dim. We need ranked choice voting and more independent candidates to shake these parties to their existential core.

Obviously the blame falls on Republicans too. This is a strawman argument. Everyone knows the Republicans are openly corrupt, anti democratic and blind to public opinion. Democrats claim to be the opposite so that’s where people expect action.

No. You compared criticism of Democratic politics to selling fast food. I pointed out that criticizing fast food is legitimate as is criticizing Democratic politics. Because the goal is to improve. If I were a Republican I wouldn’t care if Democrats improved. Their incompetence would delight me.
