Same director! And the same problem, to be honest. Danny Boyle's directing style tends to undercut any sense of intensity.
Here's my tip for beating the harder monsters/bosses: 1) open your map 2) pop a pin in that location 3) avoid that spot for the rest of the game

Yeah, I love Inherent Vice. It's probably my favourite PTA. Weirdly, the book is very much like a follow-up to IV (despite being written first), so I'm really looking forward to this. I'm actually glad it's only a loose adaptation, though - the book was a bit unfocused.

I've been rewatching Season 2 of Interview with the Vampire and this is still the worst I've seen a weird American in France get burned today.
Probably. I'd guess they're expecting massive defeats in local elections and hoping a change in leadership will reverse their fortunes. I sometimes wonder if Cleverly's exit from the leadership race wasn't mis-judged tactical voting, but instead a kind of 'New Coke' type ploy.

I mentioned breakfast because you're right - it is the biggest challenge. When your hotel offers cooked breakfast foods it's often hard to resist and stick to cereal/fruit.
I find it helps to keep low-dose sleeping pills next to the bed in case I wake up in the middle of the night. Also, don't forget the dietary aspect - try to eat similar sorts of foods (and quantities!) at breakfast and dinner as you would back home.
The Land's End to Penzance bus is already the 1A, so we can just start there and work our way up the country.

Didn't you say that production companies with experience in working with child actors bid for this, but were turned down in favour of the 'prestige bid.' So it seems like it's not even trying to appeal to kids.
I don't think this guy is dragging you for engaging in discourse, just saying that kids are less likely to be put off by the whole JKR thing. But yeah, it seems like they'd get bored of this.
Yeah, it feels like they're really trying to thread the needle here. Maybe they're hoping those people will continue to hate watch it. Or, they've been trawling all the 'what the films got wrong' lists for things they can correct to throw the weirdoes some tidbits.
It's clearly aimed at adult fans of the books and movie series. People who still make it a big part of their personality. You know...losers.
I love this film. The black and white version ('Vision in Darkness and Light') is worth a watch too. It's included under the special features on Disney+ in the UK - not sure if it's on Hulu or something elsewhere.
Such a good film. The editing by Sarah Flack is incredibly tight. You see Soderbergh learned a lot from her when you watch Solaris.
Fun fact - all of her book titles have two syllables, so you can sing her name followed by any of her book titles to the tune of 'teenage mutant ninja turtles.'

It's interesting that he's referring to people's relationships with particular models as "parasocial" - a term usually used to refer to relationships with celebrities which involve little-to-no direct interactions.
I would highly recommend Duke of Burgundy - and going in as blind as possible.
It's a lot more straightforward than they make it sound and the first two episodes take their time introducing the new concepts.

Now watching 📽️: Grey Gardens (1975). This week I read We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. It's absolutely outstanding and put me in the mood to watch this, rather than the (apprently mediocre) adaptation of the novel.

That's a good point. Somehow it hadn't occured to me that his crimes might not have been uncovered in the series' timeline! Definitely still got Bad Vibes from that gang regardless.
