None of us are perfect, but perfection doesn't matter right now. At 64, I helped start an Indivisible chapter in our town, and I've protested three times with a fourth coming on Labor Day. I'm posting on social media, speaking to neighbors, hosting events at my home, and more.
For all the Gavin Newsome bashers out there. Maybe you haven't heard the many credible voices that I've heard say, "No one is coming to save us". With that in mind, we should all be fighting for our democracy right now. If this is war, then Newsome is the big gun.
