You might have known my first Sensei Shigeru Fujimoto of Honoka'a. He became a father figure for me. Then, I had many Sensei in Hilo for 3 decades until a bad back situation knocked me out of training. Two of my Sensei are on the wall of heroes in the mall. I owe much to the Okinawan community! 💕

Sometime between 1976 and 1978 I was in the Olympic national Forest, hiking and exploring with a friend and a goshawk was nose diving me. Apparently she had a nest nearby and saw me as a threat. This was funny because at 16 a hawk bestowed the name Silverhawk on me. Long story.
