When I was growing up, autism was perceived as a debilitating disorder with a lot of nasty symptoms, possibly including being totally nonverbal. I think that has a lot to do with the panic about a condition now defined much more broadly to include a lot of people with a manageable disability.

Rabies vaccines for human is not actually that much more expensive than for pets. What were talking about here is "post-exposure prophylaxis" which is a series of four shots that you need to get when you've possibly been exposed to rabies. Contains both vaccine and immunoglobulin.

ChatGPT is an LLM. That stands for "large language model." (Though some prefer "synthetic text extruder.") LLMs manipulate language, and only language. Machine Learning models for medical applications are a completely different thing.
