Around that time, those of us who do "tech" that isn't software or smartphone related lost the battle for awareness of what we do in the media, or that it is part of THE "tech industry". But the world was kinda saved by mRNA tech a couple years ago, and solar and robotics tech are kicking ass.

I've worked with people with Schumer's attitude, who were born around 1940-1952. No, not all. But the ones who are like that are completely unable to respect anyone younger. Tolerate and let them help, but they don't see them as equals and can't conceive of letting them take over. Ever.

I was thinking of the book, but yes that was him. The film version has some good moments, but there were some questionable choices made, and it's kind of a mess. Strongly recommend reading the book first to anyone who hasn't experienced either. It's a unique format.
