Are people missing the principle of how ridiculing a raging narcissist / cult leader and using their own language to demonstrate their leaders' absurdity is one of the few ways to appeal to the followers of the cult leader? Newsome's tactics aren't to make us non cult members feel good.

Definitely nowadays. But I've always landed on 12-18 years. 2-3 senator and 6-9! Rep terms. Also the representatives need to move to a 3 yr term. Two years just leaves them in a perpetual fund raising mode.
Fair and appreciated. I think the question is the how far out to place the backstop. Indefinite employment is not good for the chief executive so then why is that acceptable for representatives?
