Been there, so often. And I keep going back for more. I'll cry when she dies, too. My sympathies, though. I still cry more for my dogs (several years gone now) than I did for my mother, and I feel bad about that. But she was years of Alzheimer's and I did a lot of mourning for her earlier on.
Relax! We're only making it miserable for ourselves, and sadly, some other animals and plants. But they'll adapt. More species will evolve that tolerate the heat, and earth will go merrily on. Without us.
