So I want to go for a pee. Had one after the op. Can't sleep otherwise. Figured all I had to do was remove the blood pressure wrap and away I go. Turns out BP arm wrap is automated. Now it's swollen up like a bag. Also oxygenation and other pipes. Going to have to call nurse. Idiot.
Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social)
Just back from surgery. Turns out there is a nerve in the stomach that is attached to a nerve in your shoulders. So after an op your shoulders ache like crazy. Human body is a mess,

We had our power off yesterday. I missed the notification about it. Eventually I went to the guys working on the street and asked them when it might be turned on. They said they can turn on individual homes when safe. So at 2pm my power was back on, was meant to be off till 4.

AI sayith you are right Packaged roasted coffee beans retain peak flavor for 1 to 3 weeks but they can remain "good" (drinkable but less fresh) for much longer, up to a year if unopened and sealed. For the absolute best quality and flavor, consume beans within 3 to 30 days of their roasting date.

Ok, I was only thinking about food servers. However from the country that organized the Occupy movement, BLM movement, and other national wide community pressure groups, I am sure , you could organize a boycott of low paid tipping businesses focused on a few worst offenders.
Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social) reply parent
No, that's not what I am doing. My whole premise, in the puny number of letters BS allows was to fight the system through boycotting businesses that allow tipping. I'm sure I said this in the first or second post. You are just lashing out.
Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social) reply parent
Supporting people who refuse to tip instead of yelling at them is one way to change things. Define first what is wrong with the system. Criminally low pay. So how do you correct it? Not by socializing customers to top up low pay with a form of organsed begging.
Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social)
Of course they will, Tobacco, Alcohol, fossil fuels, Resource exploiters. Just another Government backer getting paybacks, to the detriment of society. www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360...
Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social) reply parent
What would happen is people didn't tip? Places that pay poor wages would lose staff and force them to close or pay better. Its not the customers who need to support the current system, but everyone to recognize its unjust and boycott it. Tipping only prolongs the wrong that is being done.
Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social) reply parent
In this thread: people fighting each over tipping, when its the system that is at fault. Your system is screwed up, look at the rest of the world.

Gary (@netchicken1.bsky.social) reply parent
This is such bs. Britain didn't want the Jews in Palestine. They expected them to be killed the moment British left the country. They made it as hard as possible to get in. The ban on non citizens owning property was to stop Jews from buying up the land. I didn't bother watching the rest.
