I’m a retired Child/Adolescent psych RN and believe me, if the US was a parent, CPS would remove the children that live there. USA has 120 civilian guns per 100 people. Switzerland has 28. It’s not 1 in 4 people on antidepressants- it’s 1 in 10. That number is higher in many countries, including Australia, Canada and the UK. Countries with almost no mass shootings. You see how must be the guns?

That was my first reaction, yet the reporters I heard were pretty remarkable with the kids. And while it still seems wrong, if they have to live through it, their voices and experiences should be shared without editing. The “adults” should have done a lot more much earlier.

I wanted to agree when I 1st heard. then the reporter came on radio he explained the kids are hands off, then the parents came to him and said their son wanted to talk and give the praise to his classmate and let everyone know the boy was a hero. he says saved him and took one because of it.
