I thought there one in one out policy was justified by asylum seekers having a connection to the UK.

Hopeless.

Die damn it - in the faith.

I think I may need some culture. I once went to the Louvre and there are students there who copy the old masters. Absolutely amazing - every single detail exact but instead of the cloak being one colour they painted it in another. In general I like Ralph Heimans art not Picasso.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Well that explains a lot - landscaping my arse !
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s because I don’t want to give anyone hope. I just think Farage will be PM and walk all over everyone and have no hope of stopping boats and generally fuck up the Country and make UK a worse place to live with more children going hungry and let’s forget vaccines and bring in guns.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Maybe Starmer has tired of Government… let’s see.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
I sort of imagine them pumping him full of drugs just to make an appearance. They are not the sharpest tools in the drawer.

Generally I lie down on the ground covered by my St George’s flag and let everyone walk over me.

Is this arm twisting from Trump ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Why is the British Government still posting on this site I ask for the umpteenth time?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Was this the Company who did the White House rose garden ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Honestly, if you look at some of those ‘white people’ you would maybe take a step back.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Sometimes it would be advantageous for the Government to stick two fingers up at sites such as X. Ditto all those other propaganda sites.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Why does the Government still post on X ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Ok - I for one - will not be employing Drogbruk ever for my future paving and landscaping.

The endless links.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Where is the proof?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
I really hope so because it’s only with the Lib Dem’s as the main opposition that we can get back into the EU.

There is so much that is appalling about Reform - surely Labour should concentrate on that … they want to privatise the NHS, they want to relax gun laws, they want to start fracking everywhere in UK. They are not interested in net zero. They are in bed with Trump and his Evangelical loons etc.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Nothing like some boiled kale or my preference spinach.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social)
You can’t hide Trump forever.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
The tragedy is that Labour don’t seemingly have a belief in Europe. Starmer cannot see a return to the EU in ‘ his lifetime’. You have to have aspirations and hope if you are in Government.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Johnson and Brexit ensured the death of the Tory Party.

Apparently my interaction is limited - I have no idea what that means. I don’t want the adult content stuff but I would like to know what are the limits on my interactions. Can I swear or is this off limits ? Anyway who knows - if you feel I have limited you and you are not a pervert well too bad.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s what religion does for you.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
What can anyone normal say ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social)
Politics is sort of polarised in the UK between those people who want to shoot people crossing the Channel in small boats and those people who who think they are sick to think this about other human beings.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
That was really funny.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s easy to say from Yanks who put sugar in their bread and think burgers are healthy. Boiled vegetables are significantly healthier than the fried or roasted sort - just need to eat them al dente.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Aah we are four years away best get the shit on the floor.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
But he could do so much more to control the Press. He should hire me and believe me the Press would be responsible.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Starmer needs to get a grip.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Oh … come on American food is appalling. It’s designed to make you all end up like Trump. For the prosecution Chic fil A.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
If only Starmer had some balls and wasn’t always weighing up his alternatives then he could crush these arseholes like Jenrick, Farage, Goodwin etc. Their feet shouldn’t touch the ground. What a wimp.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
I was kind of captivated when I saw the little miaow outside the cat flap.

Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
No - but Starmer has to say - I will do this but these are the consequences courtesy of Trump and his bum boy Farage.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
I did this stupid thing and put the boiler on for hot water and the radiators. The radiators came on at 6 am. Was nice to have dry towels but have now turned radiators off.

Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
The EU is not disparate with maybe the exception of Hungary but come on - you can’t expect to be welcomed back when you have so egregiously acted in bad faith. That’s not Starmer’s fault… that’s more down to Farage.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social)
Sometimes you have to consider the bigger picture ! Xxx
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Maybe just takes time for the disparate EU and the UK to align and in the meantime Farage and his cohorts will do everything possible to stymie such an outcome.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Couldn’t agree more.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social)
Just to add to the screw Trump won’t support your ally Ukraine and demands you pay for armaments. He is supported by Farage. The danger is if Russia invades Europe.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Just give him the plane.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
My point is there are no ‘good’ options. Also when you have Farage as the playground bully’s best mate - then you might have to suck it up until you work out a better strategy. In the meantime he can tie you in to all sorts of crap.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reposted
When you meet the playground bully, who has all the cards there are a number of tactics. You can give in short term whilst you consult with your allies to withstand his tactics, you can stand up and suffer the consequences, you can keep a low profile in the hope you are ignored. You can hope he dies

Are the barges beached ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Well that’s easy to say but if you are trying to act in the interests of the UK as a whole and you are up against the World’s super power who has no hesitation in making your Country and it’s people a lot worse off - what would you choose. The UK lost most of its influence by leaving the EU.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
I don’t think Starmer does agree with them is my point. I think his arm is being twisted.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Why ? Because Starmer is more powerful than the US President who wants to see a rift between the EU and Russia ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Personally, I couldn’t agree more but at the minute Trump is President and he has leverage aided and abetted by Farage.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Yup.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Same difference to be honest.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
We need to change our flag to the three lions pronto.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Farage is a con man with the US President’s ear and the President can turn the screw on Starmer to hurt the British people unless Starmer does as he is told. I don’t think I can put it more simply.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Yup .
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s a difficult pill to swallow but the blame rests squarely with Farage et al. Would be interesting to know the justification for this action.

Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
It almost makes you weep.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
You can’t turn around World trade just like that … so almost every Country has sucked up to Trump in the short term. Doesn’t mean they will in the longer term. Just let Trump bask in his victory and let the US enjoy stagflation.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
UK got a stonking tariff deal compared to almost any other Country.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Who ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
It’s complex, we are not in a position necessarily to judge. We do, however, know that Farage has very close ties to Putin and appeared on Russia Today - the State Russian TV for a number of years. You pays your money and you makes your choice.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Is it because he wants to avoid further tariffs which will hurt a lot of people in the UK ? Is it because Farage is egging on the Trump administration to suggest that’s possible? We really don’t know is my point.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
You have ask why ?
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Thick as a box of rocks.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
Farage is constantly in the US using his influence to turn the screw on Starmer. You don’t do as I say then my mates in the US will add additional tariffs. That’s the horses head in the bed.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
You know this is the next Trump war.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social)
Starmer needs to make it plain to the citizens of the UK that Farage is a malign influence sucking up to Trump / Putin.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
This is what has to be spelled out by Starmer . He has to say - I am taking such and such action to moderate the media and if this is denigrated by the US it is because of Farage’s influence.
Sylvia Booth (@smfbooth.bsky.social) reply parent
What are the penalties for non compliance and can they be attributed to Farage ?

So what precisely do the right want to do about the white working classes? Certainly not go to university, as they want numbers down. Nor to have a unionised manufacturing job, as they don't want unions. No, they just want pawns as part of their culture wars. They don't give a toss.

I hesitate to right this, but these are in response to my post that Europe is not responsible for negotiation delays, and it is best to correct the message. Mr Draghi is right, Europe must move quicker on existential issues. We have been too passive in the face of internal+external threats 🧵

I am a big fan of your cooking - maybe discount the spatchcock burnt chicken but everyone makes mistakes and it probably tasted nice. It would help if you provided more details. Also you have been a bit lax on banking stuff lately not sure if you may have had other commitments.
