Once the new vaccine is approved , the old one is inactivated. Can’t be given, can’t bill insurance for it. It’s basically been replaced by the newly approved vaccine which we are waiting for.
The new vaccines are coming next week and unfortunately we pharmacists have to follow the guidelines set forth. It sucks. It’s going to get heated. But don’t hate your pharmacist. Call your senator, call your representative. Call people who have the power to change the guidance.
