I very sincerely hope that, when the smoke clears, Jame Raskin is empowered to organize a review and revision of the entire Constitution. We have learned a lot in our nearly 250 years and it sorely needs an overhaul reflecting that.

Thank you. The estimates I heard at the time said that the judiciary could have kept going for another 6-8 weeks before they ran out of money and would have had to petition the president for funds to keep running. Imagine how *that* would have gone. You have to be in the ring to be in the fight.

I use the pen that my mother bought for herself with her first paycheck (in the late 1930s or early 40s). It's an Eversharp with a gold nib. I've had it repaired twice and it's still going strong. (I have had helpful kitties, so I keep the pen and ink in a small box and use it.)
