Helps to have a buddy at work. I’ve got one. Also, vaccination greatly reduces risk of dying and hospitalization. Those reasons alone implode the antivaxx arguments.

The data suggest most people should be good for 12 months as maintenance after having 3 doses. I’m going to go for NVX in March if it’s available. I’m going to get my daughter NVX this fall, again, if available.

CAN99 Vitacore (no FCOI of any kind… just a good mask) And now, without NIOSH, we’ll never get the official approval but it’s been tested and performs better than n95. It’s really as advertised… an N99.

Wear a fucking mask people. I’m so sick of your ignorance. It’s willful. Get on the boat or you’re going to drown. And this is the last lifeboat. There’s room for all, because it’s an analogy… but you’re really just drowning yourself if you don’t reach for the line we’ve been throwing you.

If you think Covid is “mild,” “over,” harmless to kids, or that a shot + handwash = safety… you’ve been influenced by paid minimizers. They’re everywhere, shaping the narrative. It feels conspiratorial, but it’s just PR. Bad actors; grifters too. LC is horrifying & there’s no cure. That’s the truth.

Most adults only get flu once a decade. With Covid, people are getting reinfected yearly — sometimes 2–3× a year. Do you see how easy it is to destroy your life? Your kids’ brains? Their future? Your own capacity to take care of them?

This is preventable. Masks work. Filters work. Vaccines help. Pretending kids are “resilient” is a lie that costs lives. Don’t measure risk from your family’s survivor bias. You haven’t experienced it… YET. I haven’t seen Europe yet either. But I know where it is & I’ve read about it.

Covid’s acute phase kills, but it’s the aftermath that destroys futures. LC is organ damage, vascular damage, cognitive decline. That doesn’t heal in 7–10 days.

We’ve normalized mass infection. But LC hits 1 in 3. Imagine every classroom, every team, every friend group — a third will struggle with symptoms doctors can’t fix. That third of the population is growing, because every infection compounds risk. Note: Kids can’t all articulate what they feel.

Children do get Long Covid. It can mean brain fog (the feeling which is actually brain damage), memory loss, heart inflammation, dizziness, exercise intolerance. This isn’t “just a cold.” It’s a lifelong disability risk.

Kids get Long Covid. Kids die at 4× the rate of flu from acute infection (that 7–10 days you felt sick, didn’t test, went back to work, and spread it). LC has no cure. 1 in 3 risk lasting damage. LC can & will destroy lives. Probably yours & your kids’ if you don’t utilize airborne protections.

No, you’re not “immune” w/ a Covid vaccination. You will have an immune response, & hopefully a decent one. But each infection still does damage and depending on the vaccine you chose, it may not hold as well as another option & there’s still viral seeding, multiple infections, vaxx waning, etc…

We are the College of Applied Health Sciences. And this committee is being removed—in this climate? Unbelievable. I vote NO. Employee and student health should extend BEYOND what other colleges do at Illinois. WE should set the example for how to APPLY health sciences. @ahsillinois.bsky.social

I suggest printing a bunch of these off, and just handing them to any professional who dares to mock you. Point out that the references are from peer-reviewed journals. Then let them steep in their own embarrassment and shame as they sputter defensive excuses. @drseanmullen.bsky.social

I could say the same about Long Covid and the millions of children who will suffer the proliferation of cancer, vascular disease, immune dysfunction, kidney and liver disease as the result of repeated infections from SARS-CoV-2. Adults live in denial about what they’re doing to their own kids.

One guy is masking on planes and the other guy is giving him shit for it. Should you wish to offer your support to the guy who isn’t brain dead, please tell him to keep masking. N95. Maybe he read a little science & learned about Covid sparking neurodegenerative disease or awakening cancer cells.

We haven’t but prior generations have. That’s what I was referring to…The 1918 pandemic affected all combatant nations in WWI & contributed to the war’s end; and it helped give rise to WWII 20 yrs later. Sadly, SARS2 hasn’t evolved to truly be “mild” like the distal relatives of Spanish Flu.

Fascism rises after pandemics. COVID’s still here—eroding executive function, stoking anger, short tempers, and confusion. Impaired brains don’t spot propaganda. They repost it.

Funny how anger, impulsivity, and fascism spike after pandemics. Almost like executive function matters. Almost like a neurotropic virus that never went away is still wrecking people’s brains.

Musicians get shelved. I’ve heard of that. But a medical textbook? Apparently @drpeterhall.bsky.social and I, along with 90+ chapter authors, should update our CVs: “Coming in 2099.”

Covid is all over the country right now. I know someone confirmed + in Washington, California, Minnesota and New York. Lots of people showing visible symptoms in Illinois. All this anecdata is backed by wastewater data. Don’t risk your health and livelihood just to breathe naked. Mask up.

Some ideas arrive like lightning. I’ve had a few I knew were too far ahead. Sat on them. Guarded them. Now it’s time. Not just to change the world— To change how we believe change works. Watch this space.
