I'd say it's a deliberately misleading take on possibly solid science. There is nothing wrong with women having "stronger emotional responses". Unless you think that women need to be subservient.
Rick does Math and Stuff (@mathandstuff.bsky.social) reply parent
"Stronger emotional responses" is a) "not good", and b) "needs a warning label" I guess I read the word "stronger" much differently than these guys did.

If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations. If you're 45, that number is 74.7%. If you're under 28, the number is 100%. Happy Labor Day.

A large driver of the Democrats tacking right is the practice of so many DC staffers of basing their judgment of "what Americans think" by watching cable news while viewing FoxNews as "the right" and CNN as "the left". They have no feel for public opinion.

A Labor Day reminder: today there isn't a single city, metro area, or state in the U.S. where a full-time minimum-wage worker can afford a modest 2-bedroom apartment. Millions of people with jobs—even multiple jobs—aren't safe from homelessness in this country.

'car jackings are down' in part because traffic is down, as nobody wants to go downtown. Regardless, even if one were to stipulate "turning the city into an army base" would cut down in the number of carjackings, that doesn't make it a good idea.

BO and BIden were _aggressive_ when it came to deportations, and not only did they 'get a pass', the media a) pretended it wasn't happening, and b) helped Trump make the false accusation that they favored an 'open borders' policy.

For me, it's not "hands Dems a weapon" so much as "hands the voters an obligation." What's happened at the CDC is an unmitigated disgrace. The reason to attack RFK and the Trump administration is not "voters might like us for doing so" but because these guys are bad for our nation's public health.

Trump's game plan is to use the power of right-wing media to create powers in the imagination of the American public, which are then and therefore real. This is not a legal strategy. It's an anarchic strategy. It's pure lawlessness.

It's worth saying, once again, that every tariff that Trump imposes is a shot in the foot. "I'm going to put tariffs on everybody and everything" is a policy that will end effect of economically isolating the US, while denying us access to the cheap imports that the economy is built on.
Rick does Math and Stuff (@mathandstuff.bsky.social) reply parent
"Generation is global" No, it isn't. The US had a Baby Boom after WWII. The size of the boom affected how it developed. South Africa did not have a Baby Boom. So there was no Gen X. Why would anybody think that generation is defined solely by year of birth? A generation is a sub-population. n

The Olympics were terrible for Montreal but great for LA just eight years later. It all comes down to how they are managed. A city that falls into the trap of building a lot of new infrastructure with no plan for what will happen after the games will be in trouble. But it's hardly inevitable.

The problem is that the people working for the news media do not meet the definition of "journalist" any more than RFK JR meets the definition of "public health expert." Let's not forget that, legally, FoxNews is in the business of entertainment.
