Which brings us back to Roberts's Shelby County decision, in which he eviscerated the Voting Rights Act - and DOJ's responsibility to review the actions of southern states - based on the absurd conclusion that the efforts of those states to disenfranchise black voters were a thing of the past.🙄
MO Gov Mike Kehoe is calling a special session to gerrymander the 5th District which encompasses Kansas City. He is specifically violating Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which bans any voting practice that denies or weakens the power of a racial minority to elect its preferred candidates.
