Went to Georgia and S Carolina for a vacation and we had to stop the car for a damn alligator to cross the road. To me that was crazy to see. I find it’s interesting to see how diff things can be. First time I’ve seen a firefly. Was born/raised on Guam. Totally different world there.
Thats poaching and against the law. Yeah there are those damn spitting chew red necks, but most hunters are for the meat. My eggs are from a friend’s neighbors farm. She also has different kinds of chicken just for the meat. One of my family raise buffalo. For me, at least I have clean food.
I live in Utah too. They thin the herds because of the abundance of deer/elk, it helps to minimize the starving. The hunts are regulated. No one wants an animal starved to death, and the meat is not waisted. There are those who hunt game, fish and fowl. My SIL helps me to have enough for the year.
