I saw him in The Last of Us. He was amazing. He was always amazing.
RIP Graham Greene. Every time he popped up on screen when I was a kid, my mom would excitedly point him out for being an actual Native on the screen. Able to be deadly serious and infinitely hilarious (even in smaller roles like Last of Us), he ate up the screen. Nʌki’wah brother.

My youngest sister died (cancer) when she was fifteen. She would have turned sixty three this summer. It wasn't until both my parents were gone that I stopped adding her to my count at family dinners.

Yes. Having cared for two parents with dementia, I can tell you that it is often mean. Often self-centred. Often irrational. Always draining. Very seldom nostalgic or compassionate.

My daughter in law had a serious health scare. Life altering scare. All we could do was drop off food and gifts. All we WANTED to do was hug her and my son. I was scared for everyone I loved, and I lost four elderly relatives. I won't forget.

I made Habanero jelly. It's a once every two years event. My husband was home for this - he usually isn't. I gagged, I coughed, I choked. (Capsaicin and I don't get along). He got me a mask and asked me if it was worth it. I wondered who looked at a habanero and thought mmmm. It's good though!

The firearms license has to be renewed every five years, and your partner has to sign forms assuring that you are not a risk. When my Dad died, I had to send the license back to the RCMP, along with a death certificate. I had to confirm that the firearms were transferred to someone with a license.
