At one point Anti-seizure and certain cardiovascular meds were the same. If your meds required blood levels drawn it was recommended you stay on Brand vs the generic. Not sure if this is still the case. Retired from Nursing so not keeping track anymore.

Having a dad who worked in the pharmaceutical industry I was always taught that generic meds were inferior to Brand name. As a result I tend to prefer brand but UofMs formulary doesn’t always support brand name meds. PBMs are a pain in the ass and suspect totally unnecessary. Just my opinion!
Yep! We should always research it ourselves. Generally speaking even if my PCP recommends it I still check it out. But I’m a retired RN so most of the time I’m already aware of these things. As I’ve gotten older I’m much more skeptical about almost everything. Especially in the world of trump!😩
