Yes, definitely better than asking the plaintiffs where to send the check, but since DOJ and Trump both have an extensive track record of claiming these people were grievously mistreated, I expect their hypocritical filing here will draw some questions from the judge about which it is…

Well, sort of. Trump and DOJ are exactly the reasons these thugs think they have a case.
It doesn’t matter if he’s popular: he’ll still be dangling at the end of Peter Thiel’s strings and signing anything Russ Vought or Gauleiter Miller drop in front of him. And if anything, our European friends probably hate him even more than Trump.

A savvy candidate’s public pronouncements should always make sense to the people they want to vote for them. Always address issues clearly and simply and save the buzzwords for private occasions.

That’s my take. If you’re standing on some persuadable voter’s front porch, the conversation you need to be having should probably not be peppered with words from this list. If it comes up, language that describes the issue in simple and accurate terms. You want them nodding, not saying “Huh?”

If you’re talking about the 1965 Voting Rights Act, it got 20 Republican votes in the Senate and 112 votes in the House. But yes, their attitude toward voting has changed a bit since then. Still, both parties gerrymander and neither one should be able to.

To be fair, they should be trying to get anyone who complains about gerrymandering (D or R) to commit to establishing non-partisan redistricting nationwide in any election where districting applies. It’s a “voter” issue, not a partisan issue. Election-rigging is wrong no matter who’s doing it.

What the Dems need to be working on are election fairness laws like banning gerrymandering altogether if the take back the House. Then fix immigration, cut ICE funding, and get tariffs back under Congressional control. Trump can spend his last two years golfing.
Not exactly - socialism envisions a mix of public and private ownership. Communism eliminates the concept of private property altogether. Partial government ownership of businesses is more properly seen as socialism.
