If a white spot on her shell,It may be a sign of not enough UVB lighting plus full spectrum lighting. Dont feed your RES any meat. Insects like crickets fed some calcium or dusted with powdered calcium is good. Reptomin pellets, mealworms, grasshoppers, river shrimp(not ocean shrimp), Romaine.

As a healthcare worker who had to secure prior auths for meds & tests the MD ordered& deemed medically needed, this will put more drain of time & resources for MD offices & hospitals. Care gets delayed while trying to win these cases for patients. It makes things more untenable for senior patients.☹️
It’s not MH issues, or SSRI’s. Other countries have MH issues & use SSRI’s. They do not have mass shootings like we have in the US. So, it’s the guns and the gun culture lobby worshipping gun companies. Gun laws save kids lives & other people too. Worship life instead of gun companies.

Unless the turtle was a released pet(pets don’t have skills to survive well in the wild). Hibernation prep will be starting soon if in North America.

Try a pulse-ox (a clip for finger to check oxygen levels.) check at least 2-3x day. If O2 numbers go to the upper 80’s or less,call your MD immediately for instructions. Follow up with your MD when feeling better. Other medical problems can happen after Covid infection. Your doc can screen you.🙏❤️

They definitely do. My big turtle swam up 2 the glass & she started splashing loudly on purpose to get my attention while I was grieving a loss in my family. My turtle did things to make me smile & laugh in effort to cheer me up. A* turtle* did this. Animals know more than we give them credit for.❤️🐢
I went to the grocery store to get some ground beef. 73 % was 6.99 a pound, 85% was 7.99 per pound for the store brand. The 90% price jumped to 9.49 per pound for the store brand. If I wanted organic or grass fed beef, let’s just say the price was worse. Guess they don’t want us buying beef..

If you look 500 years down the road, then yes I can see your point. Trauma from sudden death of loved ones-Yes, if they are not yours, but someones down the road, one may shrug that off. But I can assure you that the grieving family isn’t waving it off. Profound grief changes families in a bad way.

One possible explanation- trauma and grief of loosing friends & family members. It’s so emotionally overwhelming, it’s a mental preservation mechanism to handle the emotional overload. The mind, when confronted with intense overload, can protect itself by “forgetting what was so upsetting”.

Canadians did a pilot study where they offered the unhoused a short term financial assistance( ~1 year) to help them secure housing & also offered job training/counseling so they could find better employment. The results were pretty positive helping to get most back on their feet, just like Finland.
