The company stock where my spouse works has gone up over 25% in the past month because investors were excited that the last earnings call reported “some AI functions were successfully integrated” (my paraphrase) into their operations. It gives an uneasy feeling.

To fine tune your point, I blame The Real World seasons 2 and 3. The conflicts between cast members were reasonably resolved in season 2, other than the eviction of David, but then they amped things up for season 3 with Puck and his unfiltered presence. Evictions became expected.
Just goes to show that comprehension and literacy go a long way. I watched maybe 2 seasons of The Apprentice and nothing about that show made me think that he would be a good president. It was the exact opposite, really.
