I have had significant policy disagreement with every Republican administration as long as I can remember, but I never felt that the people in cabinet positions were ridiculously unqualified. Until now. It’s an absolute parade of mediocrity. It’s like revenge of the C- students.

We did actually struggle. The difference is our struggles were temporary. There was an end point. If we were frugal, we could save enough for a down payment on a home and pay off our student loans rather than have them loom for perpetuity. It wasn’t easy, but it was achievable. Hardly so anymore.
