I'm not a Californian, so what I think doesn't matter. I'm tired of the copycat tweets. It was funny, but the all-caps, nonsensical tweets send anxiety vibes. I don't even bother reading them anymore. I'm probably alone in this thought, maybe not

You're describing my life. Only difference is that I was 'born-again' when I lived in Albuquerque. I got homesick & returned to Vermont. I went from evangelical churches on every block to two within 50 miles of home. Unfortunately the one we chose severely messed me up. It still took 10yrs to leave

There were good things about being in church. I loved it most of the time. It was my last church who mentally abused me so much that I stepped back and saw how deeply wrong I was to be following the Bible literally. I lost my friends and church when I divorced. There was no reason to stay

It all ended when they ended my marriage. No one knows the power of the churches' influence. Many radicals are only following along because they are afraid of all the losses that come with leaving. There has to be a way to reach them.
One could say it was a choice. I had gotten so involved and deeply entrenched that I believed it all and felt terror of ever leaving. Then, a new church decided that my mental illness was from demons. They did two 'demon cleansings' and kicked me off my volunteer work.

We watched CTV News too. It was a big deal to get Canadian TV, one or two extra channels. Cable changed everything and now I stream everything. I just don't know what news to put on. I usually have CNN because I can watch it on HBOMax or CBS on Paramount, but I don't want to give my time to CBS
CBS has blown it with 60 Minutes settlement and Colbert. I've watched the CBS Evening News since I was a kid with Walter Cronkite. It was pretty good with Norah, but she disappeared. Now they changed the format with less actual News than ever. TV is a big indicator of change and is very influential
My BFF is a MS English teacher. She tells life stories, many about me, to get them listening. I did a lot of wild and stupid things when I was young. She turns them into humorous stories. Apparently, the ones about me are favorites. It's good to know my mania of the past has become a helpful tool🤪
I learn so much from these shows. The Daily Show & Kimmel too. Fallon is just silliness, but it's a good refresher. I watch them all the next day. Colbert has a big fan base. He'll be somewhere, maybe back on Comedy Central or in an elected office.
It's a great thing to encounter good people. The comeraderie and ability to accept differences has been destroyed with the extremes. It breaks my heart every day
I agree. I would like to follow more artists of all kinds just so I can change my feed from the doom and gloom all the time, if that's how it works. I don't know anything about algorithms. Nature and human creativity are the healing balms for my soul too, so well said 🙂
At a concert in June they evacuated the people on the floor because of thunder. She had a major panic attack because she wasn't sure why. They ended up letting her watch from backstage, so that made up for it big time. I can't imagine raising kids this day and age.
I'm already agoraphobic, barely leaving the house. My anxiety has affected my dghtr (38). I'm terrified that something will hapoen to her. She likes to travel alone and go to big events. I wasn't afraid for her being in DC & NYC alone this year, even though she has intellectual delays & autism
I used to have a house full of kids of all ages. Every now and then I would get the Mivkey Mouse Songbook which has buttons for a quick tune. I'd yell, "Dance Break!" Everyone drops what they're doing and dance for one minute. It livened everything up again and stopped disagreements & crying

Hi Luna. I'm Willow in my new home. I was returned to a kill shelter who shipped me to Vermont so I could be adopted. I don't know why they didn't want me. My new home has three more cats and a little dog. They love me here and I love it too
There should be a fund set up for the paint needed to keep repainting the rainbow crossing. Don't let the bigots win. Our village painted each of the crosswalks a rainbow color. Everyone loves it. They stand out nicely, too, I've had less trouble avoiding college students and tourists crossing😁

It's crazy. We cross the river into New Hampshire and it's like we went to the south. Maine has a lot of rural area that are trump. Vermont has a republican governor, but he is anti-trump. He's been standing up against most demands and accusations from Trump.
I believe that he's planning a civil war. He's settling it up. Crime is not bad enough for the actions he's taken. Just the fact that he turned the violence against immigrants to now finding reasons for violence against citizens. Only the very wealthy are free from the horrors he dreams of.
I never had chicken pox so I never got the shingles vaccine. I think I'll ask for it next week at my appointment. I have alzheimers in the family. It doesn't hurt to get a shot that may help me avoid the fate longer.

My intellectually delayed daughter has been to DC & NYC, alone, within the last year. She never encountered any crime. In both cities she got lost in "bad" neighborhoods. She calmly asked for directions & got her on the right busses. She would be a perfect victim, yet never experienced a bit of fear

My daughter canceled her yearly trip to DC. She said she's too afraid of seeing the capital look like a war invasion. In five years she has never seen criminal activity even when lost in a 'bad' neighborhood. Everyone was kind and helpful. She has intellectual disabilities and autism, by the way
